Celebrating Your Baby’s First Birthday Pajama Party
First birthday parties hold a special meaning to both the parents and your baby. Many of the parents tend to forget the importance of celebrating this milestone because of their busy schedules and other family responsibilities. Why not celebrate your baby’s first birthday with a pajama party! It will not only be fun but will also make a lasting impression on the guests.
You can start by designing or creating your own 1st birthday photo invitations. Photos of your baby in their pajamas can be transferred on to the computer and you can even add some background color, patterns and designs to these invitations. The borders of the cards can be decorated with beads and laces and simple texts can be printed on the insides of the card.
Once the first birthday photo invitations are sent out, you can think about decorating the nursery of your baby. Arrange for colorful pillows or cushions to be tossed around across the room or in the main party area. Blankets can also contribute as wonderful décor items. Make creative banners by adding the photo of your baby and having the words “Happy 1st Birthday “written across them and hang them at the entrance of the room or party hall.
The food items can consist of waffles, muffins, cereals, pancakes etc. Cupcakes prove to be ideal for babies since they cannot make a mess out of their birthday dress if left unsupervised. As for the games and activities you can arrange for white pillowcases to be decorated with fabric markers for the kids so that they do not get bored while waiting for the other guests to arrive. You can also have a ‘pajama’ fashion show for both adults and kids.
Finally you can take a group photo with your baby and give them away as party favors to the guests. Kid party favors can include fruit tarts, candies, cookies, toys, crayons and many more items of your choice. Do not forget to enclose a thank you note with the return gifts. Your baby’s first birthday pajama party is sure to be remembered by the guests for many years to come.
