Baby Shopping Trips

Most women love an excuse to go shopping. So why not get the girls together and go on a shopping trip for your baby. You can stock up on baby clothes, toys, and even new birthday cake ideas from boutique cake shops.

As your baby grows you will need a continual supply of clothes. It’s always nice to get away on an out of town trip with the girls to shop at stores that are different than those in your hometown. Usually, different franchises will carry a completely different selection of styles.

If you live in a smaller town you probably don’t have access to the wide variety of toys that are available in bigger city stores. Better quality, more selection, and especially more educational type toys are usually available in the more affluent suburbs.

Of course, no baby shopping trip would be complete without purchasing formula and diapers. We’re not going to debate the arguments about natural feeding or natural diapers. We’ll leave that for you to discuss with your friends on the drive back and forth.

Unless you’re independently wealthy everyone wants to reduce their monthly baby budget so you have more to spend on other things. Formula and diapers are probably the biggest budget items during the first year, so good deals can save you a lot.

If your baby is just approaching their first birthday, there are a lot of good 1st birthday cake ideas that will result in a very happy occasion. You should have a theme, and it should be kid friendly. You could buy one online, but in my experience it’s more convenient to go to your local cake shop or bakery in your town.

Even if you don’t buy a lot, a baby shopping trip with your friends gives you a chance to get away from the family for a day and reconnect with your girlfriends.
